WATATSUMI stalks the forests of the WARDEN'S RESERVE with near-silent footsteps. Frankly, Remiel wasn't sure how the beast managed to do that. It was obviously an apex predator, however. So he supposed he shouldn't be too surprised.[break][break]

With the apex predator in question having caught a scent, the royal opts to simply follow it as quietly as he can. But the crunch of his boots against foliage threatens to give away their presence with each step. For once, he actually feels like a burden to his Pokémon.[break][break]

The PACHIRISU seems drawn to Remiel. Its ability to VOLT ABSORB may be the culprit, given how it can likely sense the electricity thrumming off of the AVATAR. Nevertheless, the AVATAR in question does not wish to grow familiar with it.[break][break]

When he shoos it away, it growls. But this, in turn, catches the attention of the WALKING WAKE nearby. With a powerful snort of HYDRO STEAM, it manages to send the Pachirisu running.[break][break]

Watatsumi chases the KLEFKI through the woods stubbornly. What started as a simple enough chase became a chaotic marathon between trees, a temporary game of hide-and-seek within the stones, and a dangerous climb through a pine. However, When the fairy felt on the cusp of being seized, it summoned a MAGIC ROOM and stopped.[break][break]

Remiel surmised that it thought it could take on the Walking Wake within this shift in terrain. It was sorely mistaken. In the aftermath of a roaring HURRICANE, the royal finds the keys unconscious amongst the scattered leaves. He then crouches down to capture it within the confines of a Luxury Ball.[break][break]

The SIZZLIPEDE crawls out from a fallen log and sets it aflame on accident when the trainer and his dragon catch it by surprise. A FIRE LASH warns them to stay back but fails to intimidate the Walking Wake. Instead, Watatsumi puts out the fire and the cause for it with a huff of HYDRO STEAM.[break][break]

Once the steam clears, Remiel finds the bug unconscious. He drops to a crouch and produces a Luxury Ball from his pack to capture it afterward.[break][break]

The pink DUNSPARCE was... cute, in its strange way. Or at least Remiel thought so. However, the complexion of its scales certainly didn't help it blend in with its environment. It was no wonder why many of these didn't exist.[break][break]

As if to prove this point, Watatsumi pounces upon his RATTLED prey, resisting a COIL before putting it out of commission with a BREAKING SWIPE. Before the Walking Wake can make a snack out of the Dunsparce, however, Remiel stops it with a sharp whistle. Shortly after that, he captures the little reptile within the confines of a Luxury Ball.[break][break]

The KLEFKI looks sick. Could Klefki get sick? Remiel didn't think so. But this one certainly looked odd.[break][break]

Both trainer and Walking Wake give the entity a wide berth. It didn't exactly look appealing to Watatsumi. Didn't smell right either. So they walk on past it, and leave it behind.[break][break]

They first find the remains of its SHED TAIL. Half-eaten. Perhaps they had spooked it away before it could eat the rest? At any rate, Remiel Calcifet could tell it was a juvenile.[break][break]

Then, suddenly, a shrill reptilian cry in the jungle. Watatsumi had found it.

Remiel sprints to meet them, finding the two in the middle of a battle as the smaller one POWER WHIPS the Walking Wake with its tail. The attack is strong, but not strong enough. A HURRICANE knocks it out right afterward.[break][break]

And, of course, the dragon tamer follows up with the toss of an empty Luxury Ball.[break][break]
